Lunch Trays Confetti Melmac Prolon Melmac Dinnerware History

Found, lunch trays in rainbow colors from Leighton Street Etsy shop, featured in this post about Prolon Melmac Dinnerware History.  These trays were popular in schools, hosptials and cafeterias of businesses and were mass produced circa 1945-1960’s.

Vintage Melmac is readily found and a wide variety available on Etsy. The retro rainbow colors, called mottled, end of day, or confetti often were obtained by mixing together a slew of different melmac powders and granules to achieve the desired impact according to Melmac Central.
